Much of Garland was built out decades ago, and the trees have grown with it. That changes the job. Turf thins out where the canopy has closed in, roots sit close to the surface where a mower deck can catch them, and beds that were planted for full sun are now in shade most of the day.

We look at how the light actually falls on your yard before we recommend anything, then either adjust the planting to suit the shade or open the bed back up. Where grass will not hold, we would rather tell you that than sell you sod twice.

Fence lines that have aged in place

Garland fences often back onto neighbours on both sides and have been standing long enough that posts have shifted and pickets have gone soft. We check the posts first, because a fence that leans is usually failing at ground level, not at the top.

Some runs need a full replacement, others need posts reset and sections rebuilt. We walk the line with you, say which is which, and price it before we start. Our working hours are 8am to 5pm.

Working around established landscaping

On a yard that has been planted and replanted over the years, there is usually something worth keeping. We try to work with what is already established rather than clearing it and starting over, which keeps the cost down and keeps the yard looking like it belongs to the house.

If a bed has become a tangle of overgrown shrubs, we can take it back to a clean shape, reset the edges and mulch it, and keep it maintained from there.
